Insider Secret #2: Exercise a Little Self Control
Tuesday, December 22, 2009Coming At Ya from my first Christmas Party which was the BOMB! Good food, good conversation, good company, I LOVE the HOLIDAYS! Although it is a time where we EAT, DRINK, and BE MERRY, it is also important to exercise a little self control and reduce mindless eating.
Start with using a smaller plate while hitting up the buffet table and stock up on veggies. This way you fill up on fibre which will make you full and reduce the likelihood of overeating. Small plates are great because you can load the plate up and create an illusion that you are eatin more food. Brilliant!
Once you fill up your plate, you need an exit strategey. Operation GAFBT (Get Away From Buffet Table) needs to be implemented pronto! Eat your veggies away from table and once finished for round 2, stock up on proteins and minimize starchs.
