What is up my Lean Fit Healthy Peeps!

Super Bowl Sunday is finally out of the way. I don’t know about you, but I crushed some major calories. Wings, Prime Beef, chips and dip. Every once in a while I give myself permission to be human. I never feel guilty during times I bust the calorie bank (neither should YOU). Main thing is you get back on track the proper way. My goal this week is to trend low on calories and bump up cardio slightly.

However keep in mind that exercise and the amount of calories you consumed are closely related. What I mean by that is that they depend on each other. The worst thing I find people doing when they try to lose weight is go extremely low on calories and increase their exercise too much. In video below I elaborate on this topic and give you my thoughts on this topic.

There you have it folks, take home message is that you should never try to out work a bad diet. In addition focus on dialing in your calories to create a deficit for fat loss. Focus on resistance training for your muscles. Add age appropriate cardio in strategically for your heart, lungs, and your mind.

Happy New Year Lean – Fit – Healthy Peeps!

This is going to be a fantastic year, I can’t wait to share more free information and tips to help you get closer to your goals. 2013 is in the past, so let’s focus on the PRESENT and come up with game plan to start the year STRONG! I have been putting in time at the LFH Headquarters and coming up with lots of ideas and tips to help my clients and blog followers MAKE IT HAPPEN.

It’s Officially December and yalls know what that means; bring on the Hustle and Bustle of the Festive Holidays! Today I give you some insight on 3 Principles that I firmly believe will help you end the 4th Quarter of the Fitness on a good note!

Remember folks, it is key to end December on a good note. Along with keeping fitness levels up during this time of year, revamp your food choices as the Winter Hits. Lean Fit Healthy Comfort foods come into mind and I love adding in Chili, Soups, and Stews into the repertoire.

Fall Back to Fitness | 3 Tips

23 and 1/2 Hours | Simple Concept, Great Return on Investment

What is up my LFH Peeps,

While I was at the LFH Lab (doing some research) I stumbled upon a great YouTube video by Doctor Mike Evans. He eloquently translates many research papers in a White Board Video style presentation. Check out the clip and perhaps share it with a family member or friend.

It might just save a life….

There you have it folks, simple concept yet implications are profound. At the end of the day we all know that being active is important. The key is to add it frequently and aim for at least 30 minutes per day.

Find a fitness program that fits your goals, needs, and wants. Add in some walking when you can, take the stairs if you have the opportunity. Walk your Dog if you have one, Window Shopping at the mall, etc.

But always keep in mind, in order for the above to resonate with individuals and for true change to occur.

LFH Strategies | Working Around Injuries

Summer is just around the corner and many of us are starting to ramp up our workout routine. Whether you are a newbie, seasoned veteran, or simply getting back at the GYM, dealing with injuries/set backs are a part of the game.

A proper workout routine (with appropriate progressions) will reduce the likelihood for injuries. That being said it happens and in my case I had a peculiar injury that came out of the blue. Check out the video to find out more about the injury and my strategy to work around it and stay on track.

There you have it folks, real world strategies that are practical and easy to implement. I hope by sharing my LFH journey along with my struggles and set backs it can help you in some way, form or fashion if you find yourself in a similar situation. Remember you don’t have to re-invent the wheel. There is no MAGIC formula, no easy ROAD to Fitness SUCCESS.

I believe in constant and continual improvement in all aspects of life and in my case the LFH Program has evolved along the way.
