Mourra Underground Series: Protect the House Drill

Whats up Yalls, just had a Killer Workout at my Underground Gym and I decided to start a new series. I want to show you a glimpse of my world and what I do day to day with my athletes and one on one Clients. During the ‘Mourra Underground Series’ I will show you guys some innovative and unique exercises from my studio which I call the Mourra Underground. I have a location where we have minimal equipment, lots of Kettle Bells, Stability Balls, Medicine Balls, Sledge Hammers, 200 lbs Tires, etc. The Mourra Underground is not your typical Commercial Gym where there are tons of mirrors, lots of machines, and stupid rules like “no grunting while lifting”.

The Mourra Underground is a place where ‘Like minded fitness individuals/Elite Athletes come together for one purpose, ‘To push themselves to places they didn’t think they can go’. There is no dress code, cut off sleeves are allowed, and you better believe the tunes will be CRANKING!

Today I had a Guest Nutrition Blogger Kyle Byron from come down for a no holds bar, Athletic Burst Workout. During this session we did lots of circuits, body weight exercises, Kettlebells, mixed in with Ladder Agility Work, Sprints, and Stairs.

For a great overall exercise you should try the ‘Protect the House’ Drill. All you need is a Stability and a partner for resistance, as well as 5-10 feet of space.

You guys have to try this exercise as it is very demanding and functional.
